The site contains a huge collection of historic documents. The range of topics is rather broad, yet there is some focus on Anglo-American history. Documents are sorted chronologically and by issue, thus can be accessed in different fashions. The Avalon Project aims at mounting digital documents relevant to the fields of Law, History, Economics, Politics, Diplomacy and Government. It does not intend to mount only static text but rather to add value to the text by linking to supporting documents expressly referred to in the body of the text.
